Ebro Puleva has reached an agreement in principle with Lactalis to sell its dairy business for EUR630m. The financial statements will be audited over the next four weeks and the final contracts of sale will be drawn up based on the terms initially agreed.

Dean Foods has started converting its Schepps dairy product line to the Oak Farms brand in the Houston area. The company said that this move allows it to expand local brand presence Of Oak Farms. Oak Farms accounts for around 75% of Dean Foods' white milk in South Texas.
Parmalat FY09 EBITDA Up 16.2%
Parmalat has reported revenues of EUR3.96bn for the fiscal year 2009, an increase of 1.4% compared to EUR3.91bn in the previous year. EBITDA for the year was EUR367.8m, up 16.2% compared to EUR316.6m in the prior year.

Land O'Lakes has reported net earnings of $49.27m for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2009 compared to net loss of $33m for the same period previous year. Net sales for the quarter was $2.46bn compared to $2.67bn for the previous year quarter.

Anlit, Danisco Introduce New Probiotic Yogurt Bears
Israeli company Anlit Advanced Nutrition, in association with Danisco, has launched Probiotic Yogurt Bears, which comes in vanilla flavor and contain Danisco's Howaru probiotic formulation. The company said that the formulation is supports digestive health and enhances the child’s natural immune defenses.
