Dean Foods To Move Corporate Headquarters To Cityplace

Published:09-June-2009

Company says, the shift is a part of its strategic plan to invest for growth

Dean Foods has planned to move its corporate office to approximately 240,000 square feet of leased space in Cityplace in Dallas. Currently located at 2515 McKinney Avenue in the Uptown section of Dallas, Dean Foods plans to move its headquarters' location in the first quarter of 2010. Cityplace is located less than two miles north of downtown Dallas on the southeast corner of Haskell and Central Expressway.

Dean Food is a producer of milk and dairy products and operated its corporate headquarters in various Dallas locations including Turtle Creek and Uptown.

The company's growth has reportedly exceeded its current workspace. The company said, as part of its strategic plan to invest for growth, it also needs a headquarters with the capacity to grow and change over time in response to the needs of the business.

Gregg Engles, chairman and CEO of Dean Foods, said: "We are pleased to be able to relocate our offices within Dallas city limits. Many factors worked in our favor, including the real estate market, space availability and other economic elements. The city of Dallas is our home, and we are pleased to remain here and continue our many civic and community partnerships.

"This is a very positive step in our company's journey that demonstrates our stability, permanence and growth. I'm proud of our employees who have worked hard to create continued business opportunities and success for our company."
