Claims the new product is fat free and has high protein content
The Enlightened Gourmet, a manufacturer of fat free ice cream, has completed the development of its new Ricotta Cheese product.
The company claims that the new cheese product, which is targeted at school children, is fat free and contains high protein. The company’s new products will initially include different stuffed pasta dishes. The company has plans to expansion into Florida, Pennsylvania and Ohio in 2010.
The company said it is also going to launch a new website shortly. The site will offer insight into the company via letters from the chairman and CEO, press releases and product information.
Alexander Bozzi, III, CEO of The Enlightened Gourmet, said: “Given today’s focus on healthy eating, Good For You food is in. With this new product, the Company can provide our school children with a healthy, great tasting, non-fat, low carbohydrate, lunch entree.”
The Enlightened Gourmet has developed a neutral tasting flavor carrying system. The company said that system is not based upon fat and is low in net carbohydrates. This technology is proprietary to the company and can be applied to many food categories.
While the company now manufactures a line of fat free ice cream, it is seeking to introduce other foods traditionally high in fat. It is also seeking licensing partners which will allow it to expand rapidly into the $56 billion food industry.
